NÜRBURGRING RECORD HOLDER GIROLAMI BECOMES COBLOR® BRAND AMBASSADOR

COBLOR is thrilled to announce that Nestor Bebu Girolami, the new Nürburgring track record holder, has joined the COBLOR family as a brand ambassador. Bebu, who was the 2022 WTCR vice champion and awarded “Driver of the Year” by Honda, will represent the World’s First Asphalt Watch alongside Augusto Farfus.

The decision to partner with Bebu was made before his historic track record on March 24th, 2023, where he set a new record for front-wheel drive series cars, driving the Honda Civic Type R through the Nordschleife in an incredible time of 7:44.881 minutes. Remarkably, Bebu was wearing the NÜRBURGRING ASPHALT 1 watch on his wrist during this historic lap!

When asked what motivated him during this lap, Girolami responded with the following words:

“This watch is pure motorsport emotion. It’s not just a historic piece of asphalt on your wrist. The concentrated energy of the Nürburgring motorsport legends over 95 years drove me.”

Nestor Bebu Girolami is an outstanding racing driver who has achieved numerous successes since his debut in the WTCR in 2019. He was able to achieve a podium finish at his first race in Morocco before celebrating a remarkable double win in Hungary. His achievements have already earned him the title of two-time Super TC2000 champion in his home country.

However, it is not only his sporting successes that make him a perfect brand ambassador for COBLOR. His friendly personality and professional demeanor both on and off the racetrack are a perfect fit for the brand’s profile. His fantastic battle against his rival Rob Huff on the Nordschleife in 2019, which was rated as “Action of the Year” by the FIA, is particularly memorable.
